Former heavyweight champion James “Buster” Douglas — famous for upsetting Mike Tyson in 1990 — predicts Terence “Bud” Crawford will beat Canelo Álvarez in their September 13, 2025, undisputed super‑middleweight title fight at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
Crawford, 37, is moving up two weight divisions from his last bout at super‑welterweight, where he beat Israil Madrimov. If he wins, he’ll become the first male boxer to be undisputed champion in three weight classes.
Canelo, 35, is the reigning undisputed super‑middleweight champion, with notable wins over Billy Joe Saunders, Caleb Plant, and Jaime Munguia since moving up from middleweight in 2018. Douglas says Crawford “has the edge” and is “the man”.
